The famous ski resort of Courchevel was built from scratch after the 2nd world war, exactly 70 years ago. It was an ambitious projet, entrusted to Laurent Chappis, who spent days exploring the 3 valleys in order to create the initial plans of the yet-to-be-famous ski resort and town. The first ski lifts and slopes were inaugurated during winter 1946-1947, but this was only the beginning of a huge projet…
70 years later, the bet is won. Courchevel welcomes skiers from around the globe and belongs to the largest ski resorts in the world thanks to its infrastructures at the cutting edge of technology, its architecture between tradition and modernity, its perfect ski runs and the warmth of its inhabitants.
Courchevel is part of “Les Trois Vallées” – that includes : Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Orelle – the largest linked ski areas in the world!
Located at the heart of the resort since 2012, Chabé Courchel offers chauffeured car services throughout the season to drive you to the mountains top in style!
