The city of Aix-en-Provence was founded by the Romans in 123 BC, and is renowned for its Roman baths. It is proud to be one of the sunniest cities in France, with more than 300 days of blue sky per year. It contains over a thousand fountains, as well as cafés, bookstores and beautiful residences along the Cours Mirabeau Boulevard, which separates the Old City from the more recent neighbourhoods.
Ask to be dropped off along the Cours Mirabeau, in the Old City and in the Mazarin Quarter, and don’t hesitate to stop at a café or a market.
